With LAN Exam Maker, this is a very simple way to import questions, this tutorials will give some details on it, please following the steps to make it your self.
1. Download the questions template
Open LAN Exam Maker, in the dashboard
Click the import question button
And then download the question template at the first setp
2. Write down your questions at the template
Open the just downloaded question template file, here we recommand you use Notepad++ ( Click to download ) to edit this file, for prevent some errors of encoding, other tools may cause LAN Exam Maker import queston error.
Please note, DO NOT create a new file by your self to import, or it will not import.
After you opened the template file, the first part of the template is some comments, the comments start with tag {#STARTIGNORE#} and end with tag {#ENDIGNORE#}, the content between these two tags will not be interpreted.
LAN Exam Maker have listed the categories of your questions currently available in LAN Exam Maker, each of the category written in one line, with a number prefixed, you should use this number to determin the cateogry of questions you imported.
At the following of this template is the structure of each kinds of question type, includes Multiple Choice, Multiple Response, True False, Fill in the blanks question.
The above image have shown the Multiple choice question structure, we should copy the content like above to create a new multiple choice question each time and write it down in a brand new line.
- {#Category#}. The number between the category name which listed at the comment part. This category part should looks like this {#Category#}: 6, then this means this question will set to category of math.
- {#Random answers#}. This determins wether this question options should list in random order when students is answer the question. 0 means not in random, 1 means random.
- {#Question#}. This is the question content.
- {#A#} - {#J#}. The question options or available answers, if you have no more than J, please leave it blank.
- {#Correct#}. This means which one of the {#A#} to {#J#} is the right answer, for example, if the right answer of the question is C, we then write C here. For multiple response question, the correct answer may have more than one, then the corrent answer should listed seperated by comma, like B,C,D.
- {#Points#}. How many points should students got when he or she did this question right.
- {#CF#}. The answered right feedback
- {#WF#}. The feedback of answered wrong.
